Bob Kave, PGA

bob kaveBob Kave, PGA (Manasquan, NJ) grew up in Allentown, PA and began playing golf at age 14. At 18, he became the youngest to win the Allentown City Match Play Championship.

After playing college golf at Barton College (formerly Atlantic Christian College) in Wilson, NC, Bob joined the PGA and began as an assistant professional at Greenville CC (NC). He then moved to Silver Creek CC (PA) and Philmont CC (PA), and is now a Certified Personal Coach with GolfTEC in Moorestown, NJ.

Bob has always had an interest in the “mental” side of the game and believes that the best way for golfers to reach their full potential is not simply through physical practice but through mental/emotional skill development as well.

Bob is an active player in the Philadelphia Section of the PGA and has played in three National PGA Professional Championships and was awarded the 1998 Philadelphia PGA Most Improved Player Award. He also was awarded the 2003 Leon Sullivan, Jr. Award for his teaching to a group of Philadelphia inner city youth, one of which went on to play college golf at Temple University.

Today, Bob is looking forward to playing more family golf, as his two children are becoming more interested in golf and have “applied” to caddy for him in tournaments, taking away that position from his wife, Gail, who has caddied for him in the past.
